제목 Synthesis of chromium oxide/activated carbon powder by liquid phase plasma process for supercapacitor applications
초록 Electrochemical capacitors (ECs) are charge storage devices which have higher energy density than conventional dielectric capacitors and higher power density than batteries.  Nanoparticles can be generated rapidly by the LPP method without adding reducing agents because plasma provides a reaction field with highly excited energy states. In this study, a new strategy of synthesizing chromium oxide on activated carbon surface as dielectric material for capacitor using an LPP reduction system is presented. The specific capacitance of the composite increased with increasing quantity of chromium oxide precipitate on the carbon powder upto a certain quantity. When the quantity of the metallic oxide precipitate exceeds the threshold, however, the specific capacitance was rather reduced by the addition of precipitate. The chromium/carbon composite containing an optimum quantity of metallic oxide precipitate exhibited the smallest resistance and the largest initial resistance slope.
