Preparation of polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) with various molecular weights through ATRP and ARGET ATRP techniques |
초록 |
Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) is a robust controlled/”living” radical polymerization technique. However, it suffers from limitations such as lost of chain-end functionalities during the polymerization processes. The insufficient chain-end functionality often resulted in block copolymer mixtures. Recently, “activators regenerated by electron transfer for ATRP” (ARGET ATRP) technique has been introduced, which allows the preparation of polymers having high molecular weights with high chain-end functionality. In this study, polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) with various molecular weights were prepared through ATRP and ARGET ATRP and their polymerization efficiencies were investigated.
