제목 | Electrochemical and Thermal Behavior of Ni-rich Layered Cathode Material for Lithium-ion Batteries |
초록 | Li-ion batteries (LIBs) are dominant energy storage systems for mobile devices, electric vehicles, and so on. Li[NixCoyAlz]O2 (x = 0.80−0.95) is regarded as a promising cathode material for the next-generation LIBs due to its high theoretical capacity. However, Li[Ni0.8Co0.15Al0.05]O2 shows poor thermal characteristics because of the oxygen release from the highly delithiated state. Herein, to address aforementioned issues, we report the surface modification of NCA cathodes with perovskite material, i.e., lanthanum iron oxide (LaFeO3) and systematically investigate the effect and influence of coating LaFeO3 over the electrochemical performance of the NCA cathodes. |
