Microencapsulation of black pigment / polymer core-shell structured particles for electrophoretic display |
초록 |
Charged organic-inorganic composite particles were prepared for the application to electrophoretic display. Black pigment as black particle for a core material was coated with polystyrene (PS) via dispersion polymerization. Black pigment/PS composite particles were then treated to possess a positive charge. Morphology of the fabricated core-shell particles were observed by both TEM and SEM. In addition, zeta potential and electrophoretic mobility of the core-shell particles in a low dielectric medium were measured by dynamic light scattering. Microcapsule containing black particles inside prepared by in-situ polymerization showed typical electrophoretic characteristics under an applied electric field. |
