제목 Benzothienopyrimidine based N-type host with charge transfer management for blue phosphorscent organic light-emitting diodes
초록 CzBTPCNmSi and CNCzBTPmSi were synthesized and designed as the electron transport (N-type) host. The CN unit was introduced to the benzothienopyrmidine (BTP) core for controlling the charge transfer character. The tetraphenylsilyl and carbazole groups were for reducing the intermolecular packing and securing the molecule against holes, respectively. The devices were fabricated with the two hosts and a p-type (mCBP) for sky and deep blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). The device of CzBTPCNmSi and CNCzBTPmSi achieved high external quantum efficiency (EQE) (around 24% in the sky-blue devices), whereas only the device of CNCzBTPmSi showed high EQE (above 20% in the deep blue devices) thanks to their high triplet energy. Moreover, the CNCzBTPmSi device exhibited a longer device lifetime than the reference host without the CN unit.
