Organic solar cells (OSCs) have regarded as apromising technology for solar energy harvesting devices due to low cost based on solution process, advantageof artificial light energy harvest, and potential of numerous applications. However, OSCs have lower absorption property due to discontinuous solarspectrum, resulting in low efficiency. Non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs) basedOSCs are capable of energy bandgap modifying and have higher absorption property. Nevertheless, OSCs show low powerconversion efficiency (PCE) due to low absorption property of shortwavelengths. Quantum dots (QDs) interlayer converts short wavelength into long wavelength. These effects allow the wavelength of mismatched spectrum to be converted intothe absorbing area of the active layer. In this study, we introduce QDsinterlayer into NFAs based OSCs via solution process as an optical assistant layer. As a result, OSCs with QDs interlayer show enhanced PCE with increasedoptoelectrical properties. |
