제목 Thermo-dependent structure change polymer for improved tumor therapy
초록  The Photosensitizer (PS) used in the Photodynamic therapy (PDT) produces ROS when the laser is irradiated and causes damage. PS has hydrophobic properties, aggregates in water, resulting in quenching of photoactivity. So, we had to foam an environment where PS was not quenched. In this study, the temperature-dependent change polymer was combined with PS (TDCPP). TDCPP heated up, it was changed Random-coiled form to collapsed form. Then, nonpolar environment is created between the TDCPs and PSs were changed quenching to monomeric state. As a result, the photoactivity will be significantly improved. Increasing the temperature allows both thermotherapy and PDT to work at the same time, synergistically treating cancer. At various temperature, small-angle X-ray scattering was used to confirm the structural change. Singlet oxygen generation test confirmed that more ROS generation occurred at 45 °C. Live/dead assays showed more toxicity at higher temperatures.
