제목 The Effect of Fiber Finish on the Surface of Polypropylene Staple Fiber
초록 Fiber finishes were prepared to make the hydrophilic surface of pp staple fiber. It was revealed that the properties of raw materials affect the hydrophilicity of final fiber finish which was made by blending of base oil(polyoxyethylene(POE) lauryl- ether), lubricants(polyethyleneglycol(PEG)monolaurylate, PEG monococoate), antistatic agent(POE laurylphosphate TEA), penetrating agent (dioctylsulfosuccinate Na), and surfactant(lauryl dimethylbetaine). The best composition of fiber finish was developed by the blending of 40wt% of base oil, 23wt% of oiling agent, 12wt% of antistatic agent, 7wt% of penetrating agent and 18wt% of surfactant. The PP staple fiber with developed fiber finish showed below 2sec of strike through in fabric, and 2.13sec of sinking time in fiber with 0.5% OPU, which means the developed fiber finish makes PP highly hydrophilic.
