Increasing biomass productivity is one of the most important factor on cultivation of marine microalgae. In common environments, microalgae are living together with bacteria. There are some (positive or negative) effect on microalgae while bacteria grow. In this study demonstrated the improving growth the microalgae Tetraselmis sp. MBEyh04Gc using bacteria. Three marine bacteria which were isolated from a culture of marine microalgae effect on growth of Tetraselmis sp. MBEgh01L. As a control, using a culture medium of microalgae without any addition of isolated bacteria. Tetraselmis sp. MBEyh04Gc which was cultured with bacteria was indicated the increasing biomass productivity compared with control. The control produced biomass 0.17 gFCW / L / day, while the biomass production of Tetraselmis sp. MBEth04Gc cultured with A, B and C bacteria was 0.23, 0.21 and 0.30 gFCW / L / day, respectively. This study suggest another method to increase the amount of biomass in microalgae. |
