To improve the mechanical properties of SLA 3D printing objects, various carbon nanofiber (CNF) amounts of 0.5 wt%, 1.0 wt%, 1.5 wt% and 2.0 wt% were firstly composited with ZrO2 ceramic particles. In order to improve the dispersion stability, the ZrO2-CNF particles was coated with silane coupling agent (vinyltriethoxysilane, VTES) through a hydrolysis and condensation reaction, and then the VTES-coated ZrO2-CNF particles were dispersed in commercial photopolymer (high-temp) based on interpenetrating networks (IPNs) phenomena. The FE-SEM images of VTES-coated ZrO2-CNF particles with different CNF contents showed that ZrO2 particles were densely attached to the surface of the CNF. The dispersion stability of VTES-coated ZrO2-CNF/High-temp composite resins investigated by a Turbiscan has become worse with increasing CNF contents, and the mechanical properties of 3D-printed objects (ASTM-D638 Type V) investigated through a tensile test and nanoindenter was also optimized with CNF contents of 0.5 wt%. |
