Composite semiconductor materials have been used on wastewater's inorganic nitrogen electrochemical decomposition for many years, such as titanium dioxide, which has low conductivity and poor reactivity. In this paper we used nanoparticulate titania coated onto Ta-doped IrO2/Ti substrates (TEC) on surface analysis, durability tests comprehensive analysis with electrochemical test (ammonium decomposition and free chlorine transfer efficiency) a TEC electrode with a thick overlayer was found to be less active than that with a thin overlayer, primarily due to a high resistivity. Under comparison between TEC-1 and TEC-2, a high efficient, durable, and cost-effective anode is provided in a practical three-electrode system that provides new perspectives in the meantime. |
