제목 | Inorganic Salt Effect on the Morphology of Prepared Mesoporous Silica |
초록 | To study inorganic salt effect on the preparation of mesoporous silica by using triblock template solution, we used nonionic amphiphilic triblock copolymers (F108, F88 and P104) as template solution with or without alkali sulfate such as sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) or potassium sulfate (K2SO4). When inorganic salt was added in process to form a template solution, the obtained silica particles had regular shape. When F108 (PEO132-PPO50-PEO132) was used as template, the large single crystal silica (~4μm) with ordered cubic nanostructure had been prepared in the presence of sodium sulfate by a sol-gel process of silica precursor. The silica obtained by using F88 (PEO100-PPO39-PEO100) as template had a spherical shape (1∼3μm) with periodic order cubic nanostructure. When P104 (PEO27-PPO61-PEO27) was used with potassium sulfate, well ordered hexagonal mesoporous silica fibers assembled into twisted silica with rope-shape morphology. On the other hand, regular shape is not observed in silica prepared without adding salt. Although the silica synthesized by using F108, F88 and P104 template solution without salt had ordered nanostructure, the orderness of silica nanostructure could be much improved by the addition of salt. In these experiments, inorganic sodium sulfate played an important role in forming the large sized silica with regular shape as well as improving the orderness of mesopored silica structure. |
