제목 Effect of Nano-Aluminum/Fluorinated Reactive Plasticizers on the Properties and Energy Performance of Polyurethane Binders
초록 The reaction of fluorine or its derivatives with a metal fuel is of interest in both commercial and military applications. It has been reported that nanoscale metal particles can increase the reactivity by several orders of magnitude. In this study, we investigate the effect of nano-aluminum (n-Al) and liquid fluorinated reactive plasticizers (RPs) on improving the processability of n-Al/PU composites and on increasing the energy performance which can be attributed to the reaction of n-Al with fluorinated PRs. Poly(glycidyl azide-to-tetramethylene glycol) (mole ratio of glycidyl azide to tetramethylene glycol is 5/5 and 3/7) was respectively cured with isocyanates through polyurethane reaction and catalyst-free azide-alkyne “click reaction” with RPs in the presence of n-Al. Thermal properties of corresponding PU binder are measured by TGA, and heat of reaction is characterized by DSC using both Al crucible and high pressure crucible.
