Nanocomposite consisting of acrylic copolymer/conducting filler was prepared by radical solution polymerization in order to enhance the electromagnetic interference shielding property of a conductive film. Among various conducting fillers, metal nanoparticles have good electrical and thermal properties although they are high in specific gravity. Therefore, acrylic copolymer was used as a polymeric binder, which has excellent adhesion properties and flexibility. To make electrically conductive adhesive, acrylic copolymer/conducting filler nanocomposite was coated on the release film with a bar coater. The morphology and structure were studied by scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer (SEM/EDS). The electrical properties were evaluated by 4-point probe to measure surface resistance. The effective expression of electromagnetic interference shielding property of a conductive film is attributed to the improved conducting characteristics of acrylic adhesive. |
