제목 Synergistic hybrid materials based on synthetic polymer-block-polypeptide bioconjugates
초록 Interests on the synthetic polymer bioconjugate materials are increasing due to the feasibility creating synergistic hybrid materials combining the merits of synthetic polymers and biomacromolecules. These types of new materials became tangible as the development of fascinating controlled polymerization techniques. Here, we have chosen some biocompatible polymers like poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) as synthetic polymer blocks and various N-carboxy anhydrides (NCAs) as peptide blocks. We combined controlled radical polymerization (CRP) with ring opening polymerization (ROP) of NCAs that are prepared by using basic amino acids to synthesize a new series of well-defined synthetic polymer-block-polypeptide materials. The resulting hybrid materials are subjected to various analyses and tested their self-assembly behavior for the construction of nanomaterials.
