제목 Novel “Turn-On” Fluorescent Probes for the In Vivo Imaging and Detection of Hydrogen Sulfide
초록 Hydrogen sulfide is a key endogenous signaling molecule in living systems and thus there is an urgency to develop a sensitive, selective and biologically compatible method for its in vivo detection. Here, we present the design, synthesis and demonstration of novel azide-functionalized fluorescent probes, visible and near-infrared fluorescent ligands, for a hydrogen sulfide assay in vitro and in vivo. The fluorescent probes were highly sensitive and selective toward hydrogen sulfide over biothiols, and other reactive sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen species (16 analytes) in aqueous solution. By exploiting the excellent properties of the probes, such as the good biocompatibility and rapid cell internalization, we successfully demonstrated their usefulness in monitoring of hydrogen sulfide in living cells and animals, thereby providing a powerful approach for probing hydrogen sulfide chemistry in biological systems.
