Phase change materials (PCMs) are one of the most important functional materials that can absorb, store, and release large amounts of latent heat over a defined temperature range when undergoing phase or state changes, and have attracted great attention from both scientific and industrial communities. However, this PCM requires to be encapsulated using a suitable technique that can provide high wall integrity and stability. Moreover, It has a low thermal conductivity compare to nature PCM. In this study, We imbedded magnetite nanoparticles in PCM core and immobilized to the polyurea shell for maximize the response rate. polyurea as the shell and n-octadecane as the core were synthesized for the purpose of enhancing thermal conductivity of polymer capsule. The positively-charged polyurea shells were prepared through interfacial polycondensation using tolyene diisocyanate as an oil-soluble monomer and ethylenediamine as a water-soluble monomer. |
