Rapid, specific, sensitive and cost-effective genetic marker detection is important for nucleic acid analysis. Microchip Capillary electrophoresis-single strand conformation polymorphism (μCE-SSCP) is has great potential for genetic variation detection. CE-SSCP based detection can discriminate differences in the conformations of single-stranded DNA molecules. μCE-SSCP is one of promising genetic analysis system due to ease of use, precise detection and cost-effectiveness. However, the most critical limitation of μCE-SSCP is low separation resolution resulting from short separation channel length. In our previous research, PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer matrix was demonstrated that significantly increase the separation resolution on bench-top CE-SSCP. As a result, sensitive and fast genetic analysis system for early stage molecular diagnosis could be possible to realize on μCE-SSCP device. |
