Direct methane dehydroaromatization on metal supported zeolite catalyst: Effects of oxygenate co-feeding |
초록 |
Natural gas and biomass represent non-conventional hydrocarbon feedstocks that ultimately require either dehydrogenation or deoxygenation for the synthesis of commodity chemicals and fuels. Co-processing of methane and biomass would enable the synthesis of fuels with a greater degree of saturation compared to those produced from methane or biomass alone. Methane dehydroaromatization (MDA) represents a direct route for methane activation to produce aromatics and hydrogen. In this work, co-processing of methane and oxygenates to couple deoxygenation and dehydrogenation reaction sequences was accomplished using Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst. The effect of oxygenates co-feeding on the product formation rate, selectivity and catalyst stability in the MDA reaction will be presented. The catalyst structure and active species will be characterized by a number of complementary techniques, allowing correlation of the catalytic behavior as a function of the physicochemical properties of the catalysts. |
