제목 | Reduced Graphene oxide/Activated carbon (rGO/AC) symmetric electrode in Capacitive Deionization (CDI) method for water desalination |
초록 | Capacitivedeionization (CDI) is one the most promising water purification technologiesbecause of its high energy efficiency and cost-effective properties. In thisprocess, ions are adsorbed by the porous electrodes forming electrical doublelayer and thus desalinate the brackish water. In this work, we synthesizeporous carbon composites (rGO/AC) reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and ActivatedCarbon (AC) with various ratios using a facile chemical method as CDI electrode.Among all the synthesized electrodes rGO/AC composite presents superiorelectrosorption capacity (13.92 mg/g) comparing with pure AC and rGO. Therefore,the rGO/AC composite electrode is a potential electrode material for highperformance CDI and further modification can be a broad prospective for energystorage devices. |
