제목 | Design and Application of New Asymmetric Hyper-valent Iodine Catalysts |
초록 | Because of eco-friendliness in the green chemistry aspect, plenty of studies have been conducted to change the existing heavy metal catalysts into hyper-valent iodine. Among them, the reaction generating spiro-compounds through an oxidative cyclization has attracted much attention due to its unique structure. In accordance with this trend, a lot of studies have been conducted to synthesize asymmetric spiro-compounds by designing the variation of the core shape of iodine catalysts. In recent years, a number of catalysts having high performance at ortho positions, which are relatively close reaction sites, have been reported, but the few reports on cyclization at para position. In this study, the three - dimensional structure analysis of the reported catalysts was carried out using Density Functional Theory calculation by Gaussian software. Based on these results we have designed and synthesized novel hyper-valent iodine catalysts having effect in both ortho and para position. |
