The electronic paper that possesses reversibility, bistability, flexibility, and low cost to manufacture, has been pay attention to people. One of the electronic paper display technologies, the electrophoretic display is a non-emissive device based on the electrophoresis phenomenon of charged pigment particles suspended in a dielectric solvent. Although electrophoretic displays show good optical performance, they lack a threshold behavior and have a slow switch response to the applied voltage. The lack of threshold and the slow switching speed have been introducing various types of driving TFT active matrix. Recently it has been shown that the suspensions of dyed liquid crystal with white nanoparticles exhibit switching with threshold and fast response. Referring the result of liquid crystal suspension, we consider a microencapsulation of the suspension of liquid crystal to enhance the flexibility and to give a fast response. |
