제목 | Process intensification and kinetic studies of Mn extraction from LIBs waste leachate by D2EHPA |
초록 | Manganese (Mn) is one of the crucial metals in lithium battery materials and needs to be recovered. The current study demonstrated the continuous process of Mn liquid-liquid extraction from waste lithium battery leachate. The equilibrium constants for the aqueous and organic-phase reaction complex are investigated and applied to the numerical model. The continuous process model includes extraction by di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA), scrubbing and stripping by H2SO4 steps. The effects of organic/aqueous phase volume ratio (O/A ratio), the concentration of D2EHPA, saponification rate, concentration of H2SO4 and composition of waste leachate with total Mn extraction efficiency were studied.
