제목 Robust Multi-loop PID Controller Design for Interacting Multivariable Processes
초록 This paper provides a robust design of multi-loop proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for interacting multivariable processes with various possible uncertainties. First, the analytical tuning rules of multi-loop PID controller are derived by using the generalized multi-loop IMC-PID approach. The robust stability analysis is then used to enhance the robustness of proposed PID control systems. The most important feature of the proposed method is that the tradeoff between the robust stability and performance can be established by adjusting only one design parameter (i.e., closed-loop time constant) so as to satisfy the robust stability bound via structured singular value synthesis. Simulation results for a verity of the nominal processes and their plant-model mismatch cases demonstrate that the proposed design method guarantees robust stability and provides more robust performance in comparison with several well-known existing methods.
