제목 | Interfacial synthesis of 2D metal-organic framework membrane |
초록 | The aim of this study is to develop a two-dimensional (2D) material membrane which would break the performance limitation of conventional membranes by improving molecular selectivity and flux of the permeate. Among various 2D materials, 2D membranes based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) which have external and intrinsic microporosity have been fabricated. 2D MOF membranes with aluminum tetra-(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin framework (Al-TCPP) nanosheets have been fabricated through interfacial synthesis. The support of the membrane was situated at the interface of two immiscible solvents where metal ions and organic ligands are dissolved respectively. The fabricated 2D Al-TCPP membrane was characterized to specify its composition, morphology, and structure. This study is expected to be a starting point for fabricating a 2D MOF-based membrane with fewer defects and a more homogeneous composition through interfacial synthesis.
