olefin structure control via dinuclear metallocenes |

Development of the polymerization method to control of polymer properties has been one of the most important challenges for the polymer chemist. Since Kaminsky's discovery metallocenes have been one of the major tools to control polymolefin icrostructures. Dinuclear metallocenes having two metallocene units linked by appropriate bridging ligand have been designed as one of the new metallocenes to show more diverse catalytic properties on polyolefin preparation. In this study the recent findings on dinuclear metallocenes as well as the results of the olefin polymerization are going to be described. The relationship of the properties of the bridge nature of the dinuclear metallocenes with the catalytic activities and molecular parameters of the generated polyolefins such as molecular weight, PDI and microstrucures are to be presented. |
