제목 The synergistic effect between organicand inorganic flame retardant for rigid polyurethane foams​
초록 Although polyurethane foams have numerousadvantages such as low density, low thermal conductivity and excellent mechanicalproperties, they have major disadvantage including the inherent flammability.To improve their flame retardancy, flame retardants are used in polyurethanefoam. Therefore, we fabricated the polyurethane foam introducing various flameretardants and found synergy effects between flame retardants. Expandablegraphite and aluminum hydroxide were chosen as inorganic flame retardants.Also, melamine and tris(1,3-chloro-2-propyl) phosphate were used as organicflame retardants. The flame retardancy was confirmed by limiting oxygen index (LOI)and vertical burning test (LU94). Using any amount of flame retardant make poorphysical property, we also measure thermal conductivity and compressivestrength. To calculate cell size, we analysis foam structure by SEM.
