Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) is well-known as a transparent, flexible and durable elastomer, and is widely used in various fields due to its easy chemical modification. In this study, poly(MMA/BA/tBAEMA) random copolymer (PtB prepolymer) was crosslinked with diisocyanate to impart self-healing ability to amine-terminated PDMS. The nanostructure of PDMS-acrylate copolymer was finely controlled via solvent or thermal annealing. The excellent self-healing performance was achieved by hindered-bulk urea bond between PDMS and PtB prepolymer, and the biphasic domains in nanoscale was studied by using AFM. In addition, the correlation between thermomechanical properties and nanostructures of the polymers using UTM was studied.
