초록 PMo-imbedded PSF film catalysts were prepared using MC or MB by membrane technology and they were used as fixed bed catalysts for the vapor phase ethanol dehydration and MTBE decomposition reaction. The film catalysts were non-porous film catalysts. The film catalyst activity for the MTBE decomposition is much higher than that of bulk PMo. It was found that PMo was physically blended with PSF and PMo was finely distributed throughout PSF film. It was also observed that PMo formed a pseudo-liquid phase in the film catalysts. PMo-PSF-MC and PMo-PSF-MB showed a remarkably enhanced catalytic activity for the acid-catalyzed reactions compared to bulk PMo. It was summarized that the enhanced acid catalysis of PMo-PSF-MC and PMo-PSF-MB was due to the fine distribution of PMo through entire film catalysts as a physical blending. The relatively neutral property of MC (or MB) was also responsible for the enhanced acid catalysis of those film catalysts. The pseudo-liquid phase behavior of PMo also played an important role on the enhanced acid catalysis of these film catalysts
