We have synthesized green fluorescentemitters of N,N,N',N'-Tetra-m-tolyl-anthracene-9,10-diamine (m-Me-TAD) andN,N,N',N'-Tetra-p-tolyl-anthracene-9,10-diamine (p-Me-TAD) including anthraceneand diphenylamine moiety and evaluated properties of compounds. Since theconjugation of the methyl group's para position by the resonance of benzenecontinues, the electron donating effect becomes stronger and shows highefficiency, whereas the position of the meta on the contrary decreases theinfluence, so it was confirmed that it has a relatively low current efficiencyvalue. In solution state, photoluminescence (PL) maximum wavelength is 517 nmfor m-Me-TAD and 529 nm for p-Me-TAD. In electroluminescence (EL) spectra, ELmaximum wavelength of m-Me-TAD is 518 nm and p-Me-TAD is 533 nm. The dopeddevice using m-Me-TAD as green fluorescent dopant exhibited CE of 17.41 cd/A,EQE of 7.41%. The doped device using p-Me-TAD as dopant exhibited CE of 21.58cd/A, EQE of 9.27%. |
