Long term stability of Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS) was investigated in a slurry-phase reaction with cobalt-based catalysts such as Co/γ-Al2O3 and Co/P/γ-Al2O3. Commercial γ-Al2O3 and home made γ-Al2O3 were adpoted as catalyst supports. Home made alumina was prepared by a spray drying of aluminum isopropoxide. When the home made alumina was used, catalytic activity was maintained for more than 1000 h, whereas the catalytic activity was decreased dramatically after 100 h for the commercial alumina. The decrease of catalytic performance was caused by the catalyst aggregation. Phosphorus showed the positive effect on CO conversion, C5+ selectivity. |
