The phase behavior of poly(styrene-b-ethylene-alt-propylene) (PS-PEP) diblock copolymer in the mixture of squalane, which is a highly selective solvent for PEP block and 1-phenyldodecane, a neutral solvent for both blocks, was investigated using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). PS-PEP solutions were prepared by weight percentage from 10% to 100%. In this study, solvent selectivity decreases as the fraction of 1-phenyldodecane increases, and temperature increases. The solutions were exposed to X-ray at temperature between 40°C and 225°C. As the overall fraction of PS-PEP decreases, lamellae (LAM), hexagonally packed cylinders (HEX), body-centered cubic spheres (BCC) and disordered transition (DIS) were observed. Furthermore, as the fraction of 1-phenyldodecane increases, solvent distribution becomes non-selective systematically. |
