In vitro evaluation, anionic polymer introduced polyplexes gene delivery |

Cationic polyemr, polyethyleneimine (PEI) is widely used as non-viral vector for gene delivery. Because the strong positive charge of PEI are able to condense DNA. However, PEI having high molecular weigh shows high cytotoxicity despite the advantages as a gene carrier. Therefore, we designed anionic polymer introduced polyplexes for decreasing cytotoxicity. The gene binding ability of polyplexes was evaluated by gel retardation assay. In addition, the gene delivery efficiency and cytotoxcity were evaluated by transfection assay and MTT assay.
