Solid-state Li-metal batteries (LMBs) are attracting extensive attention owing to their exceptional high energy density. Solid electrolytes (SEs) play a vital role in practical application of LMBs due to their non-flammable nature and interfacial stability with Li metal anode, but they generally have a low ionic conductivity and dimensional stability. Here, I will present selective Li-ion conducting solid-state electrolyte (SLCSE) with high ionic conductivity and high Li transference number, which are based on various inorganic Li-ion accelerators. As a result, SLCSE-based solid-state LMB showed excellent electrochemical battery charge/discharge performance owing to highly efficient Li transport. |
