제목 | Molten tin used for a working fluid of thermochemical conversion processes |
초록 | A molten tin was used as a working fluid to enhance thermochemical conversion process. As a liquid bed material, molten tin has various advantages such as high thermal conductivity, low viscosity and potential to gas cleaning. Due to its fast heat transfer rate, molten tin increased the reaction rate and yield of thermochemical processes. In addition, in-situ gas cleaning (dust, tar, and acid gas) was also possible by physicochemical process: molten metal shower or bubbling of product gas in a molten metal bed. In this study, the adoption of molten tin was conducted for pyrolysis / gasification and gas cleaning process. Hot gas cleaning of producer gas generated from thermochemical process has many advantages in terms of thermal efficiency, compact gas-cleaning devices, and gas-quality improvement. To evaluate the hot gas cleaning performance of molten tin, the producer gas generated from a gasifier was tested with a molten-tin-based gas cleaning system connected to the downstream flow of the gasifier. The results suggest that molten tin could be used as a multifunctional gas-cleaning medium for the simultaneous removal of dust, tar and hydrogen sulfide from the producer gas. |
