Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared by the co-precipitation of FeCl3·6H2O and FeCl2·4H2O with addition of ammonium hydroxide. Water-base ferrofluid were dispersed by TMAH. And oil-base ferrofluid were dispersed by sodium oleate and Hifomer. The conditions for synthesis of Fe3O4 nanoparticles optimized at 400 RPM, 50 ℃, 2 hr, NH4OH 1.05 mol. The results of X-ray diffractometer(XRD) that Fe3O4 nanoparticles indicated cubic shape. At same condition with water base, synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles are dispersed in mineral oil. Oil-based ferrofluid was applied magnetic seal and it was tested for stability in high vacuum and He leak. |
