Preparation of color particles and electrophoretic test of microcapsule containing color particles for electronic paper |
초록 |
The positively charged hybrid nanoparticles employing various pigment have been prepared by miniemulsion polymerization for the application in e-Paper. In preparation of hybrid nanoparticles, polymers endowing high surface charge and steric stabilization were successfully deposited onto the surface of pigment nanoparticles, resulting in bistability of hybrid nanoparticles along with excellent electrophoretic mobility. Furthermore, microencapsulation for the pigment embedded hybrid nanoparticles has been performed to realize development of color e-Paper display system. In the performance examination of encapsulated hybrid nanoparticles, it was found that the suppression of aggregation tendency of primary nanoparticles during microencapsulation and the formation of microcapsules showing mechanical stability are critically demanding. |
