Organic photovoltaics(OPV) have been developed for their advantages of solution processing, light weight and flexibility. Especially, non-fullerene OPVs show better performance than fullerene OPVs because of its tunability at structure and light absorption range. An acceptor-donor-acceptor(A-D-A) type of non-fullerene acceptors are easily tuned their bandgap because of its intramolecular orbital overlapping. Design of the donor unit is crucial to broadening the absorption band-width of the photoactive layer. In the recent years, the top-performing OPVs have delivered over 16% power conversion efficiency. Although the OPVs reach their high efficiency, one of the keys to commercialize the OPV is the cost. Hence, we designed a new acceptor that matches with a poly(3-hexylthiophene) which has simple synthesis step. By introducing new A-D-A type acceptor, we reached high performance and low cost OPV. |
