Synthesis of Poly(tert-butyldimethylsilyl metacrylate)-block-Polyurethane-block Poly(tert-butyldimethylsilyl metacrylate) Tri-Block Copolymers with Self-Polishing Property |
초록 |
Adhesion of marine fouling organisms on the ship hulls causes many problems, including extra energy consumption, high maintenance costs and increased corrosion. One of the potential ways to solve these problems is to coat the immersed surface with the trialkylsilyl ester group-based paints with self-polishing property. tert-Butyldimethylsilyl methacrylate(tBDMSMA) was synthesized as hydrolysable polymer matrix for long-term controlled self-polishing coating. In this study, poly(tBDMSMA)-b-polyurethane-b-poly(tBDMSMA) tri-block copolymers(TBCs) were synthesized by using hydrophobic polyurethane as macroinitiator in atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP). And TBCs were tested by the laser scan micrometer to confirm the self-polishing property by measuring film thickness in sea water. |
