제목 Decal Transfer Process using Bonding Layer for Hydrocarbon-based Membrane Electrode Assemblies
초록 In this study, a hydrocarbon membrane-based membrane electrode assembly (MEA) was fabricated by decal transfer process using bonding layers. Sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) used as a hydrocarbon-based polymer is difficult for applying to the MEA made up of Nafion based electrodes because of their incompatibility and the rigid structure of SPAES. Therefore, we introduce the concept of the bonding layer to improve the low interfacial stability between the SPAES membrane and the Nafion based-electrodes. The bonding layer was synthesized as the SPAES-based structure and dihydroxy diphenyl ether (DHDPE) replaced biphenol (BP) to increase its flexibility through the ether groups. Hexafluoro bisphenol A (6F) was also added to increase the chemical affinity of the electrode.
