Incorporation of Nanoporous TiO2 to Nanopowder-based Thick Layer for Improving Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell Performance |

DSC performance was greatly improved by adopting TiO2 nano-powder porous electrode by Gratzel group. The improvement is due to high surface area TiO2 photoelectrode synthesis from 20nm-sized anatase TiO2. To get high efficient DSC, we should form high surface area thick film of TiO2 with nano-particels interconnected for high adsorption of Dye and the transfer of electron through TiO2 nanoparticles. In this paper, we have aims of our research to obtain high surface area TiO2 aerogel powders and form the thick film photoelectrode. The film was heat-treated at 450oC for 0.5h. Then, we structured DSC by TiO2 photoelectrode and Pt sputter-coated counter electrode and I-/I3- electrolyte. |
