MoS2 has been widely studied for Li-ion battery because of its high capacity, low cost, ease of fabrication and low discharge voltage. But the lack of method for the mass production of LixMoS2 hinders the application of MoS2 for Li-ion battery. Here we report an effective method of producing MoS2 nanosheets under mild condition. MoS2 is dispersed in LiCl aqueous solution and exfoliated by Taylor Couette flow equipment. We examined MoS2 nanosheets structure by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy. Performance of obtained MoS2 was tested by making a coin cell Li-ion battery through retention ability and Nyquist plot. Our method would provide more efficient MoS2 nanosheets production not only for electrodes of Li-ion battery but also in various applications. |
