Structure-dependent magnetic resonance (MR) efficacy of supramolecular theranostic nanomaterials assembled by peptide amphiphiles |
초록 |
In this talk, theranostic supramolecular one-dimensional nanoparticles were developed by aqueous assembly of peptide amphiphiles (PAs). Hierarchical nanoplatforms can be tailor-made to suit to the personal needs especially for theranostics by co-assembly of functional PA. Each PA was tagged with tumor-targeting peptide or ligand for paramagnetic metal ion (Gd3+) for magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, respectively. The two types of PA were co-assembled to integrate each PA function into the original 1D nanotemplates. The 1D nano-aggregates allowed successful intracellular delivery of hydrophobic doxorubicin (DOX) to target cells and contrast-enhanced MR imaging by high longitudinal (T1) relaxivity of water protons. Correlation between the structural nature of fibrils formed by co-assembly of PAs and its MR efficacy was elucidated. The performance of nanomaterials could be improved by rational design of chemical structure and the precise control of self-assembly behavior of amphiphiles. |
