Study on the effect of risedronate absorption on in vitro response of osteoblast cell-lines |

The surface of biomaterials in direct contact with the blood or bodily fluids is of the most important factors in determining biological reactions of a biomaterial upon implantation. The physical characteristics of the biomaterial surface are elements are critical ingredients to improve biological reaction. In this study, we investigated the effect of the presence of risedronate on thin film on the cytocompatibility and biological activity of a material. In addition, in vitro drug release from the loaded films was studied as a function of temperature and bisphosphonate adsorption using HPLC. |
