제목 Synthesis and Optical Properties of Poly(3-hexylthiophene)s Containing Thiophene-S,S-dioxide Units
초록 Conventional oligothiophenes and polythiophenes have low photoluminescence(PL) efficiencies in the solid state but oligothiophene-1,1-dioxides have high PL efficiencies. We synthesized poly(3-hexylthiophene-1,1-dioxide)s to tune solid state PL efficiencies and PL frequencies with the thienyl sulfur oxidation conversions. The chemical and physical properties of these polymers were investigated using nuclear magnetic microscopy, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction, respectively. From these characterizations, we found that optical properties of these polymers are related to the thienyl sulfur oxidation conversion of poly(3-hexylthiophene).
