제목 Biodegradable Polycarbonate Synthesis by AlternatingCopolymerization of Carbon Dioxide with Cyclohexene OxideUsing Zn/Co Prussian blue analogues
초록 The alternating copolymerization of epoxides and CO2 to generate biodegradable polycarbonates has been a subject of much interest since CO2 is a readily available, inexpensive, non-toxic and nonflammable reagent. The utilization of CO2 as a monomer to produce valuable polymers is one of the most conceptually simple and attractive methods for the development of the truly green process. In this work, the DMC catalysts showed high activity for epoxide and CO2 copolymerization to yield aliphatic polycarbonates of narrow polydispersity and moderate molecular weight. The effect of addition of quaternary ammonium salt and ionic liquids along with DMC catalyst during the polymerization has been studied in detail. The resulted copolymers are analysed by 1H NMR spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography analyses. In the synthesis of polycarbonate from CHO and carbon dioxide, quaternary ammonium salt and ionic liquids showed good catalytic activity without any solvent.
