Although azodicarbonamide(AC) has been commonly used as an industrial blowing agent, because of many advantages such as high gas expansion rate and uniformed foams, AC has an issue that it gives ammonia gas, which is blamed for its toxicity while it is decomposed in high temperature. In this study, we attempted to remove amine group of AC and expected to reduce generation of ammonia gas. Especially for sodium substituted AC, it could easily be synthesized with an exothermic reaction and the amount of blowing gas during decomposition process, which were sufficient for industrial use. The products were assigned by FT-IR, NMR, TGA and DSC, respectively. |
