In this presentation, two materials will be introduced: block copolymer hydrogel and Janus-type Au nano-particles. 1. Block Copolymer Hydrogels Formed by Complex Coacervate Process Complex coacervation occurs when oppositely charged polyelectrolytes associate in solution, forming dense micron-sized droplets. Hydrogels with coacervate block domains were formed by mixing two ABA and A’BA’ triblock copolymer solutions in water where the A and A’ blocks are oppositely charged. By using an appropriate fitting model, structural information can be extracted from SANS data. 2. Structure Characterization for Janus-type Au Nano-Particles Janus-type nano-particles of novel and unique properties have been widely investigated using imaging technique. However, limited investigation employed scattering technique due to tough analysis. In this presentation, we will introduce strong proof of Janus-type Au nano-particle with SANS analysis. |
