Researching of electrocatalysts with high catalytic activity and strong stability as well as low-cost toward oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is desirable for environmentally clean energy conversion and storage technologies such as fuel cells, metal-air batteries, etc. Here, transition metal-substituted polyoxometalate nanoparticles anchored on heteroatom-doped carbon material((TM-POM@X-C) was synthesized through the continuous hydrothermal method followed by heteroatom doping and pre-reduction treatment. Benefiting from the substitution of TM, larger specific surface area, the doping of X and better electrical conductivity, the TM-POM@X-C catalysts present preferable performance toward an onset potential of 0.82 V vs. RHE and a half-wave potential of 0.78 V vs. RHE. The excellent electrocatalytic performances of polyoxometalate undoubtedly revealed its potential application for the energy conversion and storage area in the future. |
