Thiophene-based polymers can be raised as a material having attracted attention in OTFT, OPVs because their high solubility, crystallity, and mobility for last several decades. However, the photovoltaic performances of these polymers are restricted by their relatively large band gap and the limited possibilities to modulate their physical properties like weak oxidation stability, large band gape and high off-state leakage. In this study, the 3-hexyl thiophene-based donor-acceptor polymers showed that the band gap was controlled by the acceptor strength and intramolecular charge transfer. Also, photovoltaic devices with high power conversion efficiency could be achieved. |
